Flying Down the Slopes

Kyle Halingstad writes, Skiing, the perfect think to do in the winter.

Skiing, the perfect think to do in the winter. Skiing, stay fit even after football season. Skiing, the fun, soothing, fast paced, and freeing sport. If you’ve ever been skiing then you know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t been, then let me tell you. You arrive at the ski resort, in the parking lot you put your ski boots on and walk to the sign in. While you wait for your parents to buy the tickets you put your ski’s on and grab your poles. You strap your ticket to your jacket you start heading off to the ski lift. You hop on to the lift and you feel butterflies in your tummy. On your way up you try talking to some of the skiers beneath you. Some say hello, but most ignore you. When it’s time to get off you raise the bar and put the tips of your skies up, weeeeeee you slide down a tiny hill. You realize what you’re about to get you’re self into. Your skis start moving and you want to stop but you don’t. The trees are flying by and your brain starts taking over your body. Ssshhhhhwwwwrrrk. You halt to a stop at the edge of a large hill. When you finally face your fears you slide the rest of the way down the hill. As you get to the bottom of the hill you get more determination and feel like you’re on top of the world. Then something hits you and you find yourself sitting down on the ski lift once again.
