Torre Jones is a ten year old girl who is an experienced swimmer. In fact she's so good she made it to the Colorado All-Stars team. All-Stars is one step higher than State for swimming. If you're one of the top ten girls or boys in your age group for the state you can qualify for All-Stars. They only pick sixty boys and girls combined in the whole state to compete. Not all states compete though, only a few on each side of the country.
Torre swims with USA swimming for the Colorado Swim Academy. Torre's best event is breast stroke. She is amazingly fast!Of course she had to train for this. She's been dreaming of making the All-Stars team since she was four. Her Coach, Jay Weerman, pushed her harder and harder until she was finally there. Before she qualified for All-Stars, she went to four meets just to get a time good enough to be on the team. To even get to the competition Torre had to take a ten hour bus ride to Kansas. There is where Torre made her mark on the Colorado All-Stars team.
Torre swam faster than you could blink. When it came down to the last second, it was over by one girl touching the wall with a finger nail. With her best placing being fifth, Torre Jones is an incredible swimmer.
