"Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules" the movie was not very similar to "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" (the first movie). "In Diary of a Wimpy Kid," Rodrick wasn't in it very much, but in "Rodrick Rules" he was in the whole movie. Also in "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" they were in school a lot of the movie, but in "Rodrick Rules" they weren't in school very much. Greg's best friend Rowley wasn't in "Rodrick Rules" as much as he was in "Diary of a Wimpy Kid." Greg's family is involved way more in "Rodricks Rules" than in "Diary of a Wimpy Kid." There are mostly all the same characters, except for a new character named Holly Hills who is the girl that Greg likes.

"Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules" is mostly about Greg and his brother, Rodrick getting along with each other. Since they couldn't get along with each other their parents made them stay home from a trip they were gonna go on. They somewhat bonded while they were home, but them getting along didn't last too long. They got in trouble again and they got sent to their grandpa's retirement home and also for getting in trouble they said they wouldn't let Rodrick perform in the local talent show, but he could go watch his band perform at the talent show. At the retirement home Greg really got to know Holly Hills, which is the girl that Greg likes. You'll have to go see the movie to find out how the talent show goes.

I would recommend this to people of all ages. I saw the first one and liked it a lot and I liked this one too. My little sisters which are 4 years old and 10 years old went to see it and they both loved it. I don't think that you would have to see the first movie to understand the second, but i would highly recommend seeing the first before the second. I think this is a great movie because its funny and there is never a dull moment.
