The main goal of a scavenger hunt is to write clues on several pieces of paper that lead to another clue that eventually lead to a prize. Anyone can play this game depending on the difficulty of the clues. Here's how you play: First, you give the kid (or adult) a starter card that says "Clue 1." It could say something like this: "Find Clue 2 in the microwave." Lets say Clue 2 was in the microwave. In the microwave, the kid would find a sheet of paper that says "Clue 2, find Clue3 in such-and-such." The last paper would say something like "Congratulations!" and the prize would be with it. Scavenger hunts can have 10-35 clues, but it all depends on the people playing it. You can't have too many clues if you're playing with a 6-year-old because they'll simply get bored.

Scavenger hunts are very easy to play; all they require is a prize (candy, money, etc.), several pieces of paper or notecards, a writing utensil, a large setting, and your imagination. They can be played indoors or outdoors.

In my opinion, scavenger hunts are very enjoyable. I played a very easy version of a scavenger hunt (the clues told me exactly where the next clue was) and I finished in about 5 minutes.

If you are 10 or older, I'd make the clues harder like saying the next clue is hidden under a rug. It could be hidden under any rug in the entire house. Kids like me would have a challenging yet amusing time. After experiencing a lower-leveled scavenger hunt, I know that any little kid will love it… especially because there is a treat involved.

Scavenger hunts are always a great fallback if you are little on supplies and need something to do. Even though they may seem out of fashion, even I can say scavenger hunts are pretty fun.
