Have you ever wondered how it would feel to be a princess? Then the Thinking Girl’s Treasury of Real Princesses is just for you. The books in these series describe the lives of different princesses. In these series, I found Nur Jahan of India particularly captivating. The story starts with Mihr al-Nisa, born into a wealthy Persian family as a daughter of a nobleman. She lived an ordinary life, supposedly marrying a diplomat. However, she soon became a widow, and transferred to the Mogul Palace (in India) as a lady-in-waiting. Rather like a romance story, the plot soon thickens as she catches the eye of the emperor himself. Though her life takes an interesting turn, and she achieves many great things from that point onward, you must read the book to find out what happens next. I recommend this book to girls especially, because it shows the true life of a princess, not just the luxurious and the lavish lives they supposedly led.
