The Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library is not only a library; it is also an archive and a museum. It has over 150 collections. It is also home to a 2,700 square foot research and study space along with, over 1,900 linear feet of archival storage today. It was created to teach people about African American history.In 2003, at a price of 16.5 million dollars, is opened as the largest library in the Denver Public District. Now it is filled with priceless artifacts and original documents.On average they have about 1,000 visitors per day. They have meeting rooms too. 2,500 people use them each week. They all come with the hope that they can learn. That is what it was created for, to learn.
