Baseball has always been one of America's favorite passtimes. From hitting home runs or striking out, baseball has always been on our top list of things to watch and play. Our Colorado home team is the Rockies.

The Rockies recently had 3 games here in Colorado at Coors Field against the Philadelphia Phillies. Their first game was August 1, the score was Phillies 4 and Rockies 3, a close game, August 2 Phillies 5 and Rockies 0. All these games I watched on the TV until the last game. My amazing boss, " Jill Armstrong", got all of us Colorado Kids reporters tickets to the Rockies game. We had a whole section full of Colorado Kids Reporters cheering on their favorite team,The Rockies.

My family showed up early to get our seats, to our surprise Dinger, ( the Rockies Dino Mascot ), was hosting a kick ball game for the kids at the game to play on the field. Tommy, AKA my brother, was chosen to play the game. He was so excited and said," The field is so soft and green!" I wish I got to go on the field.

After the game started, we watched closely waiting for a ball to come our way for us to catch it. We weren't so lucky, but we had lots of fun. All of us held up signs cheering the Rockies on. Before we knew it, it was the ninth inning. Rockies, Todd Helton had already hit a home run and the fountains went of. On the edge of our seats, two points behind, the game was over with the 3rd strike. Phillies 8 and Rockies 6, it was a close game that kept you guessing and everyone had a great time.
