When James Grebb from Lakewood Colorado searched for a way to host an internet radio show on Google, he never thought he could get so big.

James, who hosts a radio show called JG radio online, told me about his first thought, "How cool would it be to have my own radio show?" Apparently, very cool. The thought of JG radio getting more than fifty listeners never once crossed his mind when he began in late June 2011. "I never thought JG would grow so much" stated the 13 year old in a phone conversation with me. Luckily it has.

Just recently, JG radio reached 600 listens. The show almost made the cut for an Internet radio show award. James has a way to make sure every show is up to expectation. He has a staff consisting of about ten of his friends. He also has a growing fan base to suggest songs for him to play. The show is him, as the DJ, playing all the top music from the day.

As the fan base grows, a demanding problem faces in the way of James, how to keep everyone happy. He says he has the staff for that. "(The staff) really helps JG radio, they are very resourceful" When asked about any new material he said simply "The staff is coming up with new ideas and new plans"James continues to try to advertise at school and anywhere he can. "Listen to JG radio" is plastered throughout teachers rooms, flyers litter halls. Some say it's amazing, others say is lame. No matter what James will carry on, and encourages other new DJ's to do the same. "Just keep your head up high" is his advice.

JG radio is growing fast. James is learning fast. His staff is developing fast. This proves that even kids can make it in this fast paced world. If you would like to check out James or his show go to bit.ly/listentojgradio.
