Mountain Biking

The thrill is biting me constantly

The fear of being hurt chases me

Like a cat chases a mouse

The rocks stick out of the path angrily

The thrill is biting me constantly

The fear of being hurt chases me

Like a cat chases a mouse

The rocks stick out of the path angrily

The work is pushing me to go harder and harder

The same as an older brother would

My legs are crying out in pain

Each pedal feels worse than a bite from a snake

I hit the downhill

My fear is beat up and kicked out of my thoughts

It is quickly replaced by joy

The angry rocks are now smooth happy jumps

It seems to hurt when I don't pedal now

And my screaming legs soon start humming with joy

Yet the thrill is greater then before

It is scratching scrawling screaming at me

And the fun is asking braggingly

"What's better than this?"

I can only think

"Nothing"
