Mesa Verde a Cliff Dwelling Adventure

Mesa Verde a Cliff Dwelling Adventure

If you want a great trip and you’re not sure were to find one, go to Mesa Verde National Park. It is so cool! You get to step where the Ancestral Puebloans stepped 800 years ago. You would get to experience so many amazing things that you normally don’t see straight out of your backyard. This national park is about two hours away from Durango, Colorado and beyond Cortez. This National Park (Mesa Verde) has lots of wildlife. Including snakes, lizards, mountain lions, bears and much more. There are all kinds of good places to hike or look at some pretty cool overlooks that will blow your mind. But the main reason you’re here is so you can see the cliff dwellings up close or even go inside of one on a tour. But I have to warn you if you lean on the walls or walk on areas you’re not supposed to they will close it down and when you grow up you won’t be able to take your kids. Oh and I have noticed that some people write things on the walls. That is rude and disrespectful so if you are going to do that don’t go there. These dwellings are in the canyon hidden deep in the walls of the cliff. Mesa Verde has all kinds of places to eat. My personal favorite is the Metate Room. They have the best desserts there and it is just fantastic. You can camp or stay in a lodge it’s your choice. Mesa Verde also has great park rangers that give kids booklets to learn a little about Mesa Verde and some fun activities. If you finish the booklets before you leave you can turn it in for a Junior Ranger Badge. Mesa Verde is great place to enjoy the architecture.
