With all the events for the dogs, the cats are almost let out of the spot light completely. The Cat Fest is that Lime light.

With all the events for the dogs, the cats are almost let out of the spot light completely. The Cat Fest is that Lime light. The Dumb Friends League uses the Cat Fest to get people out and looking into adopting a shelter pet, and to involve the public into the lives of the cats that call the Dumb Friends League home. With lower adoption fees on cats over seven months and over, the urged to adopt a new furry friend is more then encouraging.

This year, the Cat Fest was on the 14th of July and there was everything for everyone!
For the kids, face paintings, balloon animals, bouncy house, crafts, pin the collar on the cat and so much more! My little sister did not want to go, she loved everything so much!
For the parents and adults, there is so much! Vendors with cat trees and pet portraits, information about fostering and raffle tickets to win awesome prizes. According to the Examiner.com, almost 100 cats got adopted this year at the cat fest, you can see the full article at http://www.examiner.com/article/almost-100-cats-adopted-at-ddfl-cat-fest-2012

A chance to meet Jackson Galaxy, the cat daddy, and ask him all your cat questions, was also an opportunity at the fest. If you don't know, Jackson Galaxy is the host on Animal Planet's My Cat From Hell and is a cat behaviorist specialist. He was at the Cat Fest to answer the public's questions about everything and anything about your cats.

Admission is always free and so is most of the kid’s events and games so next year, bring your friends and kids to the Cat Fest.
