Pizza is comfort food, but it’s not very comforting when you bite into an unpleasant tasting crust. So I went out on a quest to find the best tasting gluten free pizza crust so you can make your own delicious pizzas at home.
I tried three different brands of pizza crusts, Glutino, Kinnikinnick, and Udi’s. I used the same sauce and pepperoni, but I used different toppings. I also sampled just the crust.
Glutino makes some really good gluten free products like pretzels and crackers, but the pizza crusts weren’t as good as their other products. It was spongy and had a weird texture. Also, it was thin and circular. You couldn’t pick it up and eat like you can with a regular piece of pizza. However, it did have a good taste. The cost was $5.19 for four personal size pizza crusts.
Udi’s also makes very tasty products. I thought some of their other foods were better than the pizza crust. It crumbled some because the was crust was thin. However, I liked the crispy texture. It had a nice taste and you could pick it up and eat it. This pizza crust had the lowest price of $4.55 for two medium size crusts.
Kinnikinnick, makes some delicious cake mixes and other foods. I thought the pizza crusts were equally as good as their cake mixes. The crust had a good texture. It was crispy and had an excellent taste. Also, you could pick it up and eat it. This crust was the thickest of the three and was rectangular shaped. The cost was $6.75 for four personal size crusts. Definitely worth the price.
After tasting each pizza crust, Glutino was my least favorite. Udi’s was better than Glutino, but it wasn’t as good as Kinnikinnick. In all, Kinnikinnick had the best pizza crust.
