The final book in the “Princess for Hire” trilogy is not your average fairy tale book.  "A Farewell to Charms" by Lindsey Leavitt has princesses, tiaras, and true loves.  But in the midst of all this glamour, Desi Bascomb knows a secret, and she’s dying to tell somebody. Desi works at Façade Agency, a company that provides substitutes for princesses. She gets to live in a princess’s life for any amount of time when just a few seconds of her actual life have passed. The best part is, she has magical powers! The youngest to do so, she just made it to Level 3 at Façade when trouble starts brewing.

In the 2nd installment, "The Royal Treatment", Desi’s in a play when she finds out that her crush, Reed, is magical too. Desi can get out of tough predicaments, but when she finally talks to Reed, she gets into a fight with her best friend, Kylee, who also likes Reed. There are too many half truths being told, and some wrong-doings at Façade, which Desi would like to fix.

But things start looking up again. Desi gets a bubble, which she can travel in to get to her jobs. She’s also been paired up with her Match, who she gets to substitute for full time. She gets to “be” Floressa Chase, a famous teen actress, and she gets paid to do it! But this dream job isn’t as good as it seems. Floressa gives her a job that Desi’s not comfortable doing.

There are many secrets in this story that are waiting to be uncovered. At 279 pages, this novel isn't too short or too long. The surprises in this book make it a real page-turner.  With a bit of romance, comedy, change, and loss, "A Farewell to Charms" is a great tween read!!!
