Eardrum piercing screams ringing out from the center of Lakeside Amusement Park in Denver, Colorado. Once the screaming starts, people all around the park can tell the Tower of Zoom is taking another 12 people on the thrill of their lives. The Tower of Zoom, also known as Zoom is a fan favorite at Lakeside Amusement Park, located on I-70 and Sheridan (Denver, Colorado).

The Tower of Zoom is a white pole that is so long it overlooks the entire amusement park and the mountains and suburbs that surround Denver. A deep red cubical cart that holds three frightened people on each of its four sides, slowly inches its way up the white pole, higher and higher. As anticipation rises, the cart finally reaches the large, white oval at the top of the pole. A terrifying feeling of doom enhances the crowd as they reach the top for a split second, before plummeting to the ground. Right before the platform hits the ground, the ride jerks upward to break the fall. After everyone catches their breath from the plunge, the crowd exits the small platform on which the cubical rests and they continue their day at Lakeside, but the bar of expectation has risen, now that they have completed the Tower of Zoom.

If you want something exciting and entertaining to do on a hot, summer day with your family, drive down to Lakeside. There are plenty of rides for the whole family to enjoy, and if your brave enough, you might even attempt to ride the treacherous Tower of Zoom.
