Do you like mystery books? Adventure books? Suspenseful books? If you do, then you should read the Jade Notebook. I recently read this book, and once I started reading it, I could not stop! I always wanted to find out what happened next. The author really left you hanging at the end of chapters; you just had to read the next chapter. Trust me; you will not be able to put this book down!

The story is about Zeeta, who has traveled all over the world with her mom, Layla. They soon head to Mazunte, where Zeeta is destined to find the father she never knew. As she spends more time there, she realizes that she is finally in paradise. But not everything is perfect. Dangerous creatures lurk in the jungle and in the water. However, the humans can be sometimes even more dangerous. Curses are soon threatened on her and the people she loves, and Zeeta thinks she should probably leave, or she will only cause more trouble. Will Zeeta figure everything out? Or will things end horribly?

Reading this book definitely changed me, this story was amazing! The author did a really good job with this book. I have to admit, I was confused at the beginning, but I realized it was because this is the third book in a trilogy. After the first couple of chapters, I caught on to the story really fast, because the author puts in little parts of what happened before this. It was easy to catch on.

If you don’t like life-threatening moments and scary moments, then this book is not for you. This book has things that may not be appropriate for some kids. I recommend that this should be read by ages 10 and up, maybe even 11 and up. Trust me, this book has some really scary moments.

Overall, this book was really good. I enjoy it when the author leaves you waiting to see what happens, it just makes you want to read more. And if you want to read this book, I recommend reading the first two books in the series first. Their titles are the Indigo Notebook and the Ruby Notebook. I loved this book, I hope you will too.
