How would you like to laugh and be inspired all at once?  That is exactly what Kevin James does as writer and actor in his new movie "Here Comes The Boom."

In this well written sports comedy, Mr. Voss, played by James, will do anything for his students.  In the movie, he encourages others to "go after your dreams. Find your passion and let it guide you."  With school budget cuts, James' character enters UFC fights to raise money to save the school's music program.  While doing so, he ends up inspiring everyone around him.  Although James never played as instrument, he said that this was a passionate project for him. He trained along side with real UFC trainers, in fact he did all of his own stunts.  Laughing, he stated that the fight scenes were so genuine that he didn't need to be sprayed to look sweaty!

James said that stepping into the octagon with Krzysztof Soszynski was fun.  "With the roaring crowd and music it was fun. And it was cool knowing I could cut at any time, and I don't really have to fight."

James said that his character was actually based on a real teacher of his, Mr. Becher. He said he was positive, motivating, and didn't just affect him in school, but in life too! In fact, he still lives by these principals after 30 years! And no matter if they are a good or bad teacher, they will always have an impact on you. He felt that hopefully most teachers will be as encouraging, motivating, and inspiring as his character was to his students.

"Here Comes The Boom" has an amazing supporting cast including Henry Winkler, who is delightful as the music teacher.  Bas Rutten stars as James' UFC coach, and stated that he loved having a comedic role and will "do comedy any chance I get."  There are many more characters that are funny and faithful along the way including the beautiful Salma Hayek.

This movie is recommended for 8 and over because of intense fighting scenes, but overall this is a fantastic movie for all ages.
