An evil terrorist called “The Mandarin” surfaces and takes credit for unexplained bombings all over the United States. After yet another explosion occurs, Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) decides to investigate and track down The Mandarin. The superhero gives his North Carolina home address to the press and waits for The Mandarin to come and challenge him. At first the opposite happens. All of the press flocks to his house begging for interviews. Then the Mandarin’s forces attack and destroy his house with helicopters, leaving him with nothing except one beat up metal suit to stop the villain and his partners from assassinating the president as his laboratory is buried. Meanwhile the Mandarin kidnaps Iron Man’s girlfriend, “Pepper” Pots (Gwyneth Paltrow), and threatens the president and the very foundations of our country. Throughout the movie, Iron Man must battle his personal demons while fighting the real life demons and must decide whether it is worth it to be a superhero at all.
Overall, Iron Man 3 is a great movie for teens looking for an action-filled film. This is the last movie in a series of three movies, including Iron Man and Iron Man 2. Since it premiered May 2, you can go see it now in a theater near you.
