In the book “Firecracker” by David Iserson, Astrid Krieger has done a lot of bad things. She robbed a gas station with a dangerous weapon. She sold city property without permission. But the wost thing she ever did was get kicked out of the elite Bristol Academy.

There were many things that happened in this book: the headmaster of Bristol Academy gave her a challenge: if she could do three good, kind things, then she would be granted back into Bristol Academy; she wanted to get revenge on whomever told the headmaster of Bristol that she cheated on a test; and many other things.

The problem with this book is that it was so confusing that there was no way I could tell much about it. So many things happened that it was hard to understand. All of the events in the story didn’t really go together.

Because of some pretty bad language, confusing storyline and some of the events in this book, I would recommend this book to ages 12 or 13 and up.
