"Send," by Patty Blount is a great book, but I would recommend it for only older children, due to some language content.
"Send," by Patty Blount is a great book, but I would recommend it for only older children, due to some language content. Send is about a boy named Daniel, who has a big secret that he's hiding from everyone at his new school, but there is one girl, named Julie who acts like she knows that there is something that he's hiding. Along the storyline, you, the reader find out that Dan's name isn't actually Daniel, and why he had to move to this new school, where nobody knows his secrets. On his first day of school, he encounters a bully, who is picking on a kid who's smaller than him, which is usually how bullies are perceived, picking on kids younger or smaller than themselves. Instead of walking away from the fight, he ends up breaking it up, because he actually used to be a bully, and he knows what it's like to get picked on, and pick on. Will all his secrets about his past be revealed? You have to find out for yourself by reading, "Send," by Patty Blount. I think that this is an awesome, action-packed book, that I would give a rating of approximately 8 stars out of 10.
