On the tour of the Denver Public Library I found myself book smart because of the unknown tips about libraries.

You could always call in because of questions, complaints, or to check out a book(s). Even email. If you go to denverlibrary.org/ask through the magic of internet you can type a question, quickly a librarian will answer back. I personally asked “How many books does DPL check out daily. It took less than two minutes for the answer. About 20,000 books a day average the Denver Public Library checks out.

Did you know that since 1889 DPL has been open? Over 120 years Denver has enjoyed reading books. But, in the 120 years DPL hasn’t been called that name– in the beginning of the Denver Public Library it was called “Center of Public Happiness”.

How do libraries get their money? At the link denverlibrary.org/ask I talked to a librarian telling me that DPL gets money by success. Success=support. Ballots through the year supporting libraries because of their accomplishments.
