Pollution is a huge problem these days. Two nature-loving kids, whose names are Sophie and Jack, are doing their part to help out their environment. Recently Jack found a tiny frog sitting away from the pond the frogs live in. They thought its location was strange. Sophie and Jack “investigated” the pond. There were no frogs.
But there was a reason. The rocks were bleached with chemicals and the road next to the pond was being redone. Fish were dying because of two man-made dams blocking the way.
“We were sad to see the animals dying and wanted to help out,” said Sophie.
Jack and Sophie collected as many frogs as they could and washed off all the pollution. They were appalled by all the pollution killing the frogs, so they went to their local park ranger to tell her about it. She gave them trash bags to clean it up. So Sophie, Jack, and some of their friends cleaned up the garbage left by humans. Jack and Sophie helped clean up the pollution. Now it’s your turn. What can you do in your neighborhood?
