No Angel by Helen Keeble is a fun and entertaining story about a teenager named Rafael Angelos who shows up at a coed charter school, and realizes he is the only boy attending.  He falls in love with the girl on the cover of the school brochure and realizes he’ll be the “only game around”. Then, he figures out that she’s the headmaster’s daughter. Never mind. But that’s not the only thing wrong; there’s a mysterious case of drawings of pentagrams, the drawing that is used to summon demons going around the school. Rafael figures out that maybe he isn’t as bad as he thought, maybe he’s good… almost as good as an angel.

Follow Rafael and his actions to save the school from demons entering the regular world and possibly destroying the planet. Personally, I thought No Angel was very entertaining and I could not put it down. This book was a Comedy/Fantasy; it was very funny and kept me entertained the whole way through.  Teens looking for a good novel will love this page turner, but this book is too explicit and inappropriate for elementary readers.
