“Undead Ed and the Demon Freakshow” is a thrilling and hilarious sequel to the book “Undead Ed” by the author Rotterly Ghoulstone. It takes place in a city called Mortlake. It is about an undead boy named Ed who accidentally interrupts a suicide by an evil clown, Kambo Cheapteeth, getting himself cursed with four extra evil fingers on one hand. The suicide mess-up angered Kambo, who was determined to completely obliterate Ed to reach his ultimate power. But with the help of Max Moon, a werewolf, and Jemini, a vampire, Ed is able to stand a chance against Kambo and his minions.
I really enjoyed this book. There are many interesting and funny characters. There are lots of action and misadventures like losing an arm, getting lost in a magic maze of mirrors, walking on tightropes, and much more! And to add to the excitement, there are many unexpected twists to make you gasp.
I would recommend the book for kids 12 and older because of scary images and some mild swear words, and also for kids who really like monsters. It may sound confusing, but I can assure you that you will enjoy it as much as I did!
