Valentine’s Day is a big deal here in Loveland. To represent the importance of this holiday, we have our very own Miss Loveland Valentine. This year, our Valentine ambassador is Nicole Wilson. Nicole is a senior at Thompson Valley High School and earned the title Miss Loveland Valentine last November. She loves children and encourages all kids to get good grades and work hard to achieve their goals. Nicole always tries her best and achieved one of her own goals by becoming this year’s Miss Loveland Valentine. She continues to spread the love around the city by helping inspire citizens in her time serving.
To inspire the kids, she came to Coyote Ridge Elementary to meet with the 2nd graders. She stressed making, and achieving, goals throughout your lifetime. Yet, the way she was confident and sure of herself also left a mark with them. The kids were engaged and really looked up to her. She was such an inspiration that you could clearly tell that they were ready to make their mark, just like she had.
As Miss Loveland Valentine, Nicole gets the privilege of representing Loveland, Colorado and their Valentine’s Day program. The program puts a special stamp on all Valentines that come to Loveland from around the world. But she personally has the honor of stamping the first valentine that comes in on February 4. She also got to bring this year’s official stamp to the school. On the stamp it says,
“From the Sweetheart City, Scenic, Safe and Strong, Comes a flood of Valentine wishes, To you, where they belong. ”
She also mentioned some interesting points on what, and who, Loveland really is. Nicole says, “Loveland is a family. We may be a city but we are a family as a whole. ” Nicole Wilson, Miss Loveland Valentine, brought inspiration that came right from her heart.
