One of the oldest buildings in Denver is new again. Union station was being remodeled from December 3, 2012 until July 26, 2014. They have made many great improvements. The first is a wonderful fountain not much different to the one behind the Natural History Museum except the water sprayers shoots the water in arcs! If you’re hot one-day at the train station you can go play in the fountain to cool off.
Secondly, there was a band playing music not unlike music they would have played when it was first built. The band was wearing clothes from the 1800s and looked like they were having a blast. Everyone that was waiting in line couldn’t help doing a little dance to the old music.
Also, there are many shops and one hotel inside. When you walk into the huge building the walls are a stunning white with gold chandlers hanging from the ceiling. There are places where you can get ice cream or pizza. Some of Denver’s most loved businesses are there, like Snooze and Tattered Cover. Outside the building is where the trains pick people up and drop them off. There is an underground bus station built under the train tracks so you can get off your bus and get on your train faster then a bullet.
This place is wonderful and I hope you can all see what I saw plus have as much fun as I did. I urge you to see this great historical sight.
