Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) is a galactic thief always looking for his next big score. While on a job to find a harmless artifact he is attacked by aliens. Using his quick reflexes and sly wit he narrowly escapes. While trying to sell the artifact, Peter is set upon three very different beings: Gamora (Zoe Saldana), a ruthless assassin sent to retrieve the artifact, Groot (voiced by Van Diesel) a tree-like creature who doesn’t have much to say, and Rocket, (Bradley Cooper) a genetically altered raccoon who wants the bounty on Peter. This fight leads then to a meeting with a man named Drax (Dave Bautista) and sets in motion events that will change their lives forever.

Guardians of the Galaxy is full of action from beginning to end. The storyline was very well thought out and kept the audience on the edge of their seats the entire time. The movie also did an extraordinary job on keeping the storyline with other Marvel movies such as the Avengers and Thor. Throughout the movie the incredible visual affects made the movie more interesting. The best part about the whole movie was the laughter. One joke after another made it lighthearted and hilarious that I think is the funniest out of all the Marvel movies. The humor was spread widely across the movie, keeping both kids and adults entertained.

The 3-D affects made the audience feel like they were really a part of the action. The actors are perfect for the character they were playing. I would however, definitely recommend mature teens and adults to watch this movie. Throughout the movie, vulgar language as well as rude gestures are used. That warning aside, Guardians of the Galaxy is a hilarious, adventure movie that is perfect for teens and adults to watch and enjoy!
