"Life of Zarf: the Trouble with Weasels," by Rob Harrell, takes you on an adventure with three best friends to rescue their king.

In the book the main character Zarf, is a troll that has to go through the typical troubles of being a middle school student. His best friend Kevin is a pig that has trouble with not worrying about everything in every little moment. His other best friend Chester is a joker that can’t come up with a good joke to save his life. Maybe they can’t save his life but they can save others.

These three have to go through many troubles together like trying to be brave in the scary moments, getting along with each other at certain times, and almost life threatening situations.

I enjoyed reading this book because at some points I would find myself laughing, also there were some moments that I wouldn’t want to put the book down.

The only con I found about this book is that sometimes it seemed like it repeated things. I also really loved the illustrations in the book because they really captured things that Zarf was thinking about.

Life of Zarf: the Trouble with Weasels is a good book that I would recommend for 9+ because some of the words are kind of difficult for younger kids to read, but otherwise they can have fun reading this book.
