Kevin Spencer is pretty much your average guy. He goes to school, he has problems in his life, and most of all, he has a huge head over heels crush on the prettiest girl in school. Then, one day, his Uncle Will, barges into Kevin’s house and announces that he’s getting married to Brandee, his fiance. Trying to throw their family back together after past problems, Kevin suggests that they have the wedding right in their backyard.

The whole family comes out to celebrate the wedding. But trouble is soon to come, because the many personalities of the families don’t blend well…or do they? At school Kevin starts a school project, on solving problems in real life. Hoping to get partnered with the “love of his life”, Tina, (according to him she does doesn’t know it yet) he is very disappointed when he gets partnered with the nerd of the class, Katie. Then, another engagement occurs…Kevin’s Aunt Buzz now is getting married. Follow Kevin on his quest to organize a double wedding to bring the family together, and make an attempt to collect the love of his life, Tina.

Overall, this was a very good book that kids from 9-12 would like. They might like it because of the humor, and the feeling that it relates to their life, or, they might be able to identify with Kevin’s predicaments.
