I “Found” my favorite book by Harlan Coben. It is about four teenagers named Mickey, Ema, Rachel, and Spoon that protect and find missing teenagers or children. Mickey has a hunch that his father is still alive after eight months of thinking he is dead and he must find out for sure. Also, Mickey’s basketball team has something against him and he is determined to find out why. Out of the blue one of Mickey’s team members/bullies moves away and the other gets kicked off the basketball team for taking steroids and he wants Mickey to prove he is innocent. Just when you thought Mickey couldn’t get any busier, he finds out Ema has an online boyfriend that has mysteriously gone missing and she expects Mickey to help her find him!
Harlan Coben has won numerous awards and I can see why. Right in the beginning, eight months ago Mickey went to his dad’s funeral. On the present day, his father is being dug back up from his grave. I knew a problem was being built to make a larger meaning that grabbed my attention and kept it though out the beginning, middle, and the end. It was suspenseful, descriptive, had an exotic plot, and this was definitely one of the best books I have read in a long time. Although, my favorite part was the very end. It tied everything together and left me satisfied and not questioning. Moving on, many other books I have read have had random titles I don’t understand but the title but “Found” is relevant to the story and has a meaning. Over all I would give this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. Read this book for your self and see how breathtaking the book really was!
