The prophesy of seven says:
Seven Half-bloods shall answer the call,
To storm or fire, the world must fall,
An oath to keep with a final breath,
And foes bear arms to the doors of death.

In the House of Hades, the fourth book in the Heroes of Olympus series, Percy Jackson and his friends are on a mission to close the doors of death. As long as the doors stay open, all of the monsters they kill just keep reforming.

At the end of the third book, Annabeth and Percy fell into Tartarus, the most terrible part of the underworld. They now need to avoid being eaten, crushed and poisoned as they try to make their way to the doors of death. Meanwhile, Jason, Piper and the rest of the crew are busy fighting their own monsters as they try to get to the earthly side of the doors. With a war pending between the Roman and Greek demigod camps, can they manage to close the doors in time to prevent their camps from destroying each other?

I could not put this book down after I started reading it. Because of the length and mild violence, I would recommend this book to anyone over the age of ten. I would give it 4.7 stars out of 5 because of the mythical but realistic characters and the fast paced plot. Reading the first three books may help you understand the plot better. The “House of Hades,” by Rick Riordan, is an enjoyable book for those 10+ who want to cuddle up with a great book.
