Mummies in the Morning by Mary Pope Osborne is an extraordinary book that is now put into full color pictures.
It is the third adventure of Jack and Annie the series, the Magic Tree House, Jack and Annie discover that the Magic Tree House can take them anywhere that they want to by pointing at a book and saying the magic words, “I wish we could go there.” Then, the wind starts to blow ,the tree house starts to spin. It spins faster and faster till everything is still. Absolutely still.

They go to Ancient Egypt to help out a mummy ghost, but have issues when they need to help her solve a riddle in Egyptian hieroglyphics. They tell the mummy what they are and she leads them to a room in the pyramid, but trouble arrives when Annie and Jack get separated.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat and the best part was that the pictures came “alive” since they were in color. The pictures used to be in black and white, but the new color pages are amazing. It feels like you are actually in the book.

It is a nice, short book that holds your interest and won’t let go. Mary Pope Osborne is a great author who has written 52 books in this magical series. The problem is, they were in black and white, but now with the full color pictures, the books are becoming more eye catching.Their illustrator, Salvatore Murdocca has done a magnificent job one the illustrations.

I highly suggest reading this book for a short, fun, and mysterious adventure in the magic tree house.
