Have you ever wondered where your family came from or who your ancient relatives are. If so head over to the Denver Public Library’s genealogy section on the seventh floor. Genealogy shows your family's history and your family tree. Although not commonly known the Denver Public Library houses rows of books on thousands of families genealogy. Most of the books are received through donation and are very rare, because of the uniqueness of these books they can not be checked out. Don’t worry though, even though these delicate books can not be checked out, you can still come over and start the path on discovering your family's history.

Also, anyone can come, you don’t need to make an appointment at all, the only thing you have to do is walk in and ask for help. The Denver Public Library’s genealogy section is also a great resource for any school projects involving your personal family history. This doesn’t have to be you alone though, you can go with your whole family on the quest to uncover your family's fascinating history. If you don’t find your family's name right away, don’t give up, new donations are coming in everyday and your last name could easily be among one of them! When handling these books it is very important to be careful because some of these books are the only copies in the world and if broken could never be duplicated.

Overall, the Denver Public Library’s genealogy section is a rare and unique experience that most people don’t know of, but is extremely interesting and brings knowledge to anyone willing to seek it out!
