“The Secret Cipher” by Whitaker Ringwald is a story that tells us everyone needs love, hope and faith. Ringwald did a great job with the characters in this book.
Zeus and Pyrrha are ancient Greeks who help people when they are in need. One part of the story is when Pyrrha was given three urns, love, faith, and hope. Her father got jealous and stole them. Isn’t that so rude?
Another great scene is when two brothers, had a gun held to their heads, by an evil married couple! Security was able to catch the evil couple before they could fire.
One of the main characters in the book is named Jacqueline (Jax for short). Jax is Ethan’s cousin. One scene in the book is when Jax and Ethan in a pool and started to talk about ancient Greece, wondering if it is still there or not. I also wonder if it is there or not because it was built a long time ago.
If you are a kid, or know of one looking for an adventure, this is an awesome choice. This book had a lot of mystery for me! I think The Secret Cipher is a good book to read because; it keeps your interest while you’re reading it. Your eyes are in the book instead of your head!
I would recommend this book to anyone that likes mystery, traveling and being a detective. I would also recommend this to someone who is 8 and up. The Secret Cipher is a good book to read!
