Clydesdale horses are one of the tallest and biggest breeds of horses. They are easily recognizable by the “feathers” around their hooves. Clydesdale horses are among the cheapest and most common breed of horse, despite their large stature and appetite. The Dun horse color variant is most commonly found in the variants of red, black, bay, and tan or gold. Almost all the dun color variants have a stripe down the the middle of the spine and back of the horse that is colorized by the horse’s coat.The dun gene in horses is thought to be the first horse color gene, as most prehistoric illustrations of horses resemble dun color.
